2x2boxFounded in 1996, Gateway Medical Associates is a physician-owned practice consisting of physicians and allied health providers. Located in nine sites throughout Chester and Delaware County, including Coatesville, Downingtown, Lionville, Edgemont and West Chester, Gateway aims to be the leader in providing excellent, full spectrum primary care to the residents of our community.

Gateway providers include physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. We provide care for acute problems as well as chronic illnesses.

Gateway's range of care includes Primary Care services such as preventive, acute, and chronic care, as well as specialty care in Endocrinology. Gateway is affiliated with Brandywine Hospital, Paoli Hospital and The Chester County Hospital. We also provide nursing home care at many facilities.

Gateway Technology

Gateway is at the forefront of using integrated technology to enable the best possible care to their patients. With the implementation of an electronic health record system in 2006, as well as direct interfaces with Main Line Health, Chester County Hospital, Brandywine Hospital, and commercial laboratories, all patient data is immediately accessible. This enables Gateway providers to make more timely decisions regarding their patients’ care, which facilitates Gateway’s approach centering on its patients’ wellbeing and health. With the implementation of the patient portal, Gateway patients are able to electronically access Gateway for questions, referrals, prescription refills, records transfers and many other patient requests at anytime.
