Electronic Prescriptions

Whenever possible your prescriptions will be sent electronically to your pharmacy. Electronic prescribing is the preferred choice of prescribing by our physicians for the following reasons:

  • Improved patient safety and overall quality of care
  • Warnings and alert systems are provided to eliminate medication errors
  • Access to patient's medical history for interactions with medications at the time of prescribing can serve as a benefit to the physician and enhance your care

This process eliminates taking paper prescriptions to the pharmacy which allows time for the pharmacy to prepare your medication and have it ready when you arrive at the pharmacy

Prescriptions Refills

Refills are ideally done at the time of your office visit. You may call your office to request a refill. When calling you will need the following information:

  • Your name and date of birth
  • Name & dosage of the medication
  • Pharmacy name & phone number

You may also request a refill through the Patient Portal.

Important Reminders Regarding Prescriptions Refills

  • Please call you pharmacy to make sure your prescription is ready for pick-up
